How about that Sir Michael Barber, sounds like one cruel bastard to me! I had no idea that England’s educational system was so damaged but now I can see why! Barber’s number one protoge Joel Klein, (the lawyer that Bloomberg hired), seems to be going in the same direction by now proceeding to ruin New York City schools the same way that Barber has crippled England’s school system. The process of decentralizing schools and having them all operate as seperate entities is a bad idea. In addition, using test scores as a deciding factor in either promoting or firing teachers is an even worse idea.
If this article has proven anything it has proven that no matter where you go in the world, there is always a direct correlation between poor school systems and high crime rates.
